TechTalk Blog -- NASA Florida Spaceport at Climate Change Risk as World's Oceans Begin to Rise

By David Colgren posted 04-05-2016 12:16 PM

Interesting article in the New York Times today about climate change and its impact on NASA Florida Space Flight operations.  The USA spaceport - located on the east coast of Florida is in danger as the ocean erodes the beach where launch pads are located requiring possible move.

My parents live on the beach in Vero Beach, Florida which is not far away. Also concerned as the beach is eroding in this same location as reported in local media.

Staying tuned to climate change issues and what can be done by the capital markets to address this major issue. – such as Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the opportunity of public companies to voluntarily disclose their actions to deal with this global issue.

The IMA and SASB have joined forces to help management accountants / CMAs deal with this global issue.
