Mentoring Mondays

Good Day Young Professionals!

It is my pleasure to kick off our blog with Mentoring Mondays!

A question I would like to ask is "Who can be a mentor?" The answer = ANYONE!

Great! So if you are reading this, know you can mentor someone.

How?

By being a dedicated professional who seeks to improve the quality of not just their life but the lives of the individuals inside & outside their communities.

It is up to us as mentors to be leaders & to be of service to our communities. To not just think, "What's in this for me?"

But rather think:

  • "How does this serve the greater good?"
  • “How will my service better the lives of others?”
  • “What can I do to improve my community?”
  • And so on!

It doesn't take a lot to be an effective leader/mentor. All it takes is dedication as well as the one thing money can't buy… TIME.

When you think about mentoring think of it as a simple formula:

  • Dedication + Time = Positive Results for the Greater Good.

We all have the power to shape the future with this simple formula. If your heart is in the right place, you lead by example and you truly care about helping others succeed then you are already on your way to becoming a great mentor!

Please feel free to engage in the following questions:

  • What qualities do you feel a mentor should have?
  • What distinguishes a good mentor from a great mentor?
  • How have your mentors shaped you for leadership roles?
  • What do you enjoy about mentoring?

Kind Regards,
