Assistant/Associate Professor - Accounting and Finance Department
Job Summary
The School of Management in the College for Professional Studies (CPS) at Regis University is seeking a full-time, 12-month contract, lead faculty member at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor for the Accounting and Finance department. This position is available immediately and open until filled. The lead faculty member will report to the Accounting and Finance Department Chair.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant/Associate Professor for Accounting and Finance will teach full time in the undergraduate and graduate Accounting and Finance Department in the College for Professional Studies classroom, online or blended study programs; advise students about courses and their degree plans; respond promptly to student inquiries; assist in recruiting, assessing and supervising affiliate faculty in area of expertise; and similarly assist with affiliate lead faculty and faculty course specialist processes; assist in developing, monitoring and revising the curriculum for the Accounting and Finance areas both in the classroom, online or blended study programs.
This position will assist in developing, monitoring and revising the curriculum for the Accounting and Finance areas both in the classroom, online or blended study programs; maintain regular and posted office hours to provide academic advising to students; collaborate with affiliate faculty in creating development plans; be alert to curricular adjustments and modifications so as to provide continual improvement in the Accounting and Finance department; and suggest appropriate changes to Department Chair.
With Department Chair, the Assistant/Associate Professor for Accounting and Finance will participate in administering and reviewing program evaluation tools; participate in quality assurance process; participate in curricular development committees and textbook selection committees; and aid in developing and/or implementing admission standards and admission decisions.
This position will provide appropriate staff and student support for remote sites and online classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in relevant field is required, plus doctoral degree in business-related discipline is preferred. In addition, a Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) is required.
Faculty must have solid and demonstrated experience in teaching, academic program planning and implementation. Experience in non-traditional adult models and instruction for diverse audiences is highly desirable.
Successful candidates must successfully pass the CPS faculty Selection and Preparation (S&P) process.
Significant experience in accounting or finance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD preferred.
Preferred candidates will have other professional certifications such as CMA, CISA or CFE are desirable.
Most desirable is experience as Controller, Auditor, or Chief Financial Officer
Significant management experience is highly desirable.

Schedule
Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Nights and weekends will be required.
