Hello,
In the Indian metros , a fresher Management Accountant's salary can vary typically from INR 20,000-38,000 per month.
There is a lot of scope for growth through work experience. Many MNC manufacturing companies intake freshers with a global CMA degree such as the one offered by the IMA.
Further career choices range from business accountant, corporate finance accountant , cost accountant financial analyst, business analyst to going on to becoming Finance Manager, CFO, Finance Controller, Cost Controller etc. As you progress in your career over the years your salary could go up to INR 600,000-1200,000 per annum. It all depends on the progress/promotions you make at your workplace and how long you work at a particular company.
According to my knowledge, in order to practice as a Certified Management Accountant in India one should be a Cost and Works Accountant from the ICWAI (India). So, a qualification of CMA from IMA alone will not make you eligible to practice in India. In India, the CMA qualification from IMA will enhance your profile as you will be viewed as more competent as a Management Accountant, especially for work in MNCs.
Hope this has been of help.
