On March 5, 2013, IMA's Small Business Financial and Regulatory Affairs Committee (SBFRC) submitted a letter to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The letter was in response to the IRS' Proposed Regulation for Additional Medicare Tax under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
This is IMA's first letter submitted to the IRS since the organzation usually does not address tax other than what is featured in a tax column in its flagship magazine, Strategic Finance. An exception was made since the proposed regulation is viewed as a burden for small business practitioners. A copy of the letter can be found on IMA's website at
