Human Behavior and Decision Making

When:  Nov 16, 2017 from 05:30 PM to 08:30 PM (ET)
Associated with  Michigan Regional Council
Please join us in visiting with acclaimed author, speaker and financial advisor, Jonathan Citrin, who's insights into human decision making are invaluable to a 21st Century management accountant.

Jonathan Citrin

Jonathan views financial decisions from a fresh and unique perspective.  This began in finance when he analyzed stock markets from the uncommon perspective of human bias and saw how such bias usually lead to financial under-performance.  When he looks outside of finance and at the world in general, it is much the same.  He sees a tremendous potential for logic and reason - precepts inherent in the work of management accountants - but our biases are toxic to our success.

Jonathan has spent almost two decades studying human bias and searching for solutions.  He has spoken to groups throughout the world and his writing have appeared in Entrepreneur Magazine and the Wall Street Journal as well as numerous academic publications.  He is also a regular contributor to leading media outlets including the U.S. New & World Report, Forbes, and CNBC.  During the past year, Jonathan has donated a generous portion of his time to helping Michigan IMA members become more effective at their jobs by better understanding the way real-world managers make decisions.
