Mid-Atlantic Council President 2019-2020

I joined IMA while in college, anxious to make my mark on the accounting world.  I made friends and learned a great deal about what my future could hold by attending an IMA student leadership conference.  Although my career path has kept me in public accounting, I earned my CMA certification and later joined the board of the IMA West Chester Chapter, and more recently the Mid-Atlantic Council. I seem to find myself returning to IMA again and again.  Not only is it an organization that has helped shape my leadership abilities and accounting skills as a student, but it continues to provide value throughout my professional career.

Mid-Atlantic Council has a strong history of supporting students, communicating with local chapters, and providing exceptional educational professional development opportunities to its members.  I am honored to serve as the Council’s President for the upcoming year.  I am looking forward to listening to new ideas and working to improve what the Council can offer our members.

As always, the Council is only as strong as its members, we welcome any input you have on improving our Council and encourage you to get involved by attending Council meetings.  Thank you for your support of the IMA Mid-Atlantic, I look forward to working with all of you during the upcoming year!

Very Truly Yours,

Amanda J. Bernard

Mid-Atlantic Council President 2017-2018
